Agents Destroy Illegal Bullock County Still Operation
Agents of the
Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control Board recently located and destroyed an
illegal moonshine still near the Still Crossroads Community in Bullock County. On
Friday afternoon, May 2, 2014, agents demolished an 8-barrel still and seized nearly
25 gallons of illegal moonshine.
The still was
found in the woods off of Pike County Road 6600, just inside the Bullock County
line. Agents found the homemade still, bags of sugar, grain, and 23.5 gallons
of moonshine. Although, no arrests were made at the scene, the investigation is

part of the ABC Board’s Moonshine Task Force that investigates tips, develops
leads, and are skilled in tracking and following trails that are often
associated with this type of illegal operation. The mission and results of the
Moonshine Task Force were recently featured by several media outlets, including
